Loveland Amazon Fulfillment Center Delays Opening Until 2026

If you live in Loveland or Northern Colorado, you’ve probably seen the massive Amazon facility rising along I-25. Originally expected to open in 2025, Amazon has confirmed the Loveland robotics fulfillment center will now launch in late 2026.

Where the Project Stands

The project sits on 152 acres at the southwest corner of Larimer County Road 30 and Interstate 25, with a street address of 6425 Byrd Drive. Amazon bought the land for $9.4 million in 2022 and began construction that March. At 3.5 million square feet, it will be one of the largest industrial facilities in Colorado.

How the Loveland Amazon Center Will Operate

Known internally as DEN9, the site is being built as a regional robotics fulfillment center. Once open, it will operate 24/7, processing high-demand items that weigh under 50 pounds. Orders will be selected by about 5,000 robots and packed by employees.

Amazon expects to hire 1,000 workers initially, with staffing potentially expanding to 3,000 employees as operations grow. This makes the center one of the most significant future employers in the Loveland and Fort Collins area.
